June 2025

June 21st and 22nd was Narrowly Newarks second exhibition. The theme was Art, Nature and Wellbeing and was open for global artists and poets to apply.

On the 14th June we collaborated with Amelia Daiz who is the founder of Meanderers and the current artist in resident at the Newark Civil War Centre. Amelia ran a workshop called Maps to Nowhere which encouraged participants to be mindful walking in nature in a playful creative way. The outcome of this project was exhibited at Narrowly and Amelia gave a talk on this experience.

On June 21st, we had poets perform (Charys Ellmer @charysellmeller, Emma Oldham @wildlife_and_words, Gail Webb @poetry_cocktail and Sarah Wheatley @sarah_poetcreative) and Jane Olsen (@janeolsonmusic) play the piano. On June 22nd, we had a nature rubbing print workshop ran by Vanessa Stone and a guitar jam session by Justyna Rozyc and friends.
